FORM SIX COMPETENCE EXAMINATIONS (FOSCE) 2022/2023
Test Validity
Test validity refers to the degree to which the test actually measures what it claims to measure.
A test is valid if it measures what it is supposed to measure.
Test validity is also the extent to which inferences, conclusions, and decisions made on the basis of test scores are appropriate and meaningful.
There are two types of validity: face validity and face validity.
Face validity – (construct validity)
Face validity is a subjective assessment, so it is the weakest form of validity (Trochim, 2001).
Content validity – content coverage
