What is a Table of Specification?
Is a two-way chart/table which relates instructional objectives to the course content and specifies relative emphasis to be given to each type.
The purpose of a Table of Specifications
The purpose of TOS is to provide assurance that the test will measure a representative sample of the learning outcomes and the subject matter covered in the classroom.
It helps to strike a balance of all the domains of learning objectives (e.g., Blooms Taxonomy).
Helps in identification of the weight of the test items individually based on the respective modules/content areas.
Enhances content validity of that test.
