What is profession?

Profession is an enduring job or occupation that requires a relative high level of in training that enable one to be efficient and effective in discharging or providing required skills.

Assumptions regarding profession

There are about three assumptions:

1. Profession is an occupation with specificity of work engagement. This means as a professional you have specific something else for giving or displaying skills required to others. Eg doctors, police officers, teachers, engineers, architectures, etc.

2. A profession is a vocation with specialized training. To be profession there are must be training. Element of training should be included in defining profession.

3. Profession is not just any job.
